  1. Hello,

I recently stumbled upon your website and judging by the interesting, original content, I would like to enquire if you would be interested in an advertising collaboration?

I currently represent a client, who is eager to promote their on-line presence with the help of your website.
Would you be open to letting us sponsor a post?
The post would be impartial, something uniquely and well written for your site only.

Let me know if that`s something you would consider.

    Thank you for your time,

    Alina Anghel

    • Alia, sorry but we don’t allow any advertising. In fact just wrote a blog post about why not! It is posted on our website, http://www.leadcreation.com.au, but here is the short post:

Sell ads on your website? What were you thinking?
It’s a seductive idea, seems like you get money for nothing as your website is already built and it’s great to recoup some of the cost.

And ads are easy to put on your site – it only takes an hour or two for your web guy to do it. How much can you make? Two fifths of bugger all, and just peanuts if you sell B2B.

What are the costs, the downsides? Huge.

You cheapen the look of your website. You give all your prospects and clients the impression that you are a hard selling company, keen to make a buck any way you can. When you need them to think you are a trustworthy source of good and valuable information.

  2. Hi, James,
I just ran across your closed question on LinkedIn regarding professional networking groups. I belonged to BNI, and found they did not help as much as I would have liked in regards to growing your business. Several of the members had great insight and were helpful, but not what I was seeking.

I now belong to AmSpirit Business Connections, which not only concentrates on giving qualified business referrals, but our local chapters also provide business training from leadership to brainstorming (problem-solving). Our website is http://www.amspirit.com ; our founder, Frank Agin, gives insight to common-sense networking. I really enjoy this organization and highly recommend it.

Thank you for allowing me to share my insights :) Have a wonderful day!

    Best regards,

  3. Hi James,
I was just wondering if you could tell me what you think are the personal or business benefits for partaking in social media, especially in blogging such as brand awareness, respect as an expert or increase in credibility not only for you but for your firm? It seems like more executives and businesses are partaking in blogging. Thank you for your time and insights,

    Alana

    • Alana, almost the wrong question. The benefits are huge if done well. The risks of not partaking are, eventually, business death.

      Dramatic but true! James
